Ms. Clifton graduated with a Bachelor's in Social Work from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2020 and completed the Teaching Licensure program at Mt. Olive University in 2024. She is originally from Nash County. This is her 3rd year teaching and she is very excited to be in Franklin County Schools teaching first grade.

Mrs. Hickman is excited about starting her eighth year at Bunn Elementary and her nineteenth year of teaching. She has taught 1st, 2nd, and 4th grades over her career. She received her B.S. in Elementary Education from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and completed her AIG Licensure from UNC-Pembroke. Mrs. Hickman loves to spend her free time reading, working in her yard, cheering on the Steelers, or visiting her daughter in the mountains!

Mrs. King graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education (K-6). She also has a Reading Concentration (K-12). She began her career as a Teacher's Assistant where she worked for 6 years for Franklin County Schools. During this time she was completing her requirements for a teaching career. She has taught in the Franklin County School system for 18 years. Altogether, she has 24 years of educational experience with the Franklin County School System. This will be her third year at Bunn Elementary where she is looking forward to serving the children and parents of the Bunn community.

Mrs. Moretto attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She has taught at Bunn Elementary for over 25 years. Mrs. Moretto has three children who have been educated in the Bunn Schools. In her free time, she enjoys traveling to the beach and the mountains. She loves teaching first graders how to read and is excited to begin another school year.

Ms. Potter graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA in Elementary Education in 2004. She began teaching in Durham Public Schools where she taught kindergarten for 10 years. While teaching in Durham she earned her Master's Degree from Grand Canyon University in Literacy Curriculum and Instruction as well as her ESL certification. She moved to Franklin County Schools and Bunn Elementary in 2014.

Ms. Waterman comes from a small town in the Adirondack Mountains of New York where she taught as an Elementary Reading Specialist for four years. She graduated from Plattsburgh State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and from the University of New England with her Master's Degree in Literacy.
Her favorite things, outside of teaching, are traveling, photography, reading, the New England Patriots, Duke basketball, coffee and spending time with her family and friends.
