Instructional Assistants

Julia Capuano is a first year instructional assistant at Bunn Elementary. A recent transplant from northeast Ohio, where she was born and raised, she is looking forward to becoming an active member of the community and helping the school as it grows. She has a Bachelors of Science in Geology from Kent State University which she used for a number of years as an Environmental Scientist but has spent the majority of her working life as a nanny to kids from ages 0-14. She is a wife and mother of two incoming students to Bunn Elementary, an avid baker, proficient home cook, hopeful gardener and all-around nature lover.

Ms. Jones is a Franklin County native. She obtained her Associates Degree in General College at Louisburg College in 2017. She went back to school and obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral and Social Sciences at North Carolina Central University in 2023. Ms. Jones enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Jasper Moore has been in the EC field for 28 years with 10 years of that in the private sector and 18years with Franklin Co Schools in the Exceptional Children’s Adapted Curriculum classroom. He grew up in Raleigh and moved to Franklin County in 1986. He is a widower with 2 children who spent their entire primary and secondary education in the Bunn school district. He is a master potter and enjoys weaving and hiking. He lives on his family farm with dogs, cats, chickens, a donkey, and a Horse !

Millie is an instructional assistant and a bus driver. Millie has lived in Franklin County for the last 25 years. In her free time she loves spending time with her grandson and daughter.

Hello, my name is Destiny Ray. I am an Instructional Assistant for Kindergarten at Bunn Elementary School. I was born in Durham County, and have lived in Durham, Granville, and Buncombe Counties. I currently live in Franklin County with my husband John and 2 boys, Colton and Wyatt. I graduated in 2020 with my Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education focused in Administration, I obtained my Early Childhood Education (ECE) Credentials in 2007, in 2009 I obtained a Pharmacy Technician Diploma, and in 2019 my ECE Administration Certificate, my ECE General Education Certificate, and my Infant/Toddler Care Certificate all from Vance Granville Community College. Teaching children has always been a passion of mine. I have over a decade of experience working with children, from teaching at childcare centers across the state to being the Boys and Girls Club site coordinator in Franklinton. Helping children learn and grow is the greatest reward. When school is out, I love spending time with my family and friends we enjoy taking trips and riding our Side By Side.

Nancy Roark is an Instructional Assistant and bus driver at Bunn Elementary School. She loves working with children and watching them learn and grow. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughters, and her granddaughter!
