Mrs. Lee began teaching in 2001. She has taught in a Kindergarten, 1st , 3rd, and 4th grade classroom. She is married with 6 children and enjoys spending her free time with her family. She is grateful to be a part of the Bunn Elementary School Community.

David McCray

Mr. McCray is the music teacher at Bunn Elementary School. This is his 31st year of teaching and his 27th year at BES. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Education: Music K-12 from Fairmont State University in his home state of West Virginia.
Before coming to Bunn, he taught in Aberdeen, Maryland and Clarksburg, West Virginia, and worked as a Qualified Mental Retardation Professional, establishing habilitation training programs for adults with developmental delays. In addition to teaching, he has worked as a church choir director, music director and worship leader.
He has two grown children who attended Franklin County Schools, as well as seven grandsons who range in age, as of August 18, 2025, from 7 months to 14 years. When he is not teaching, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, listening to his favorite music, watching YouTube videos, and participating in church activities.

Mr. McAllister is the physical education teacher at Bunn Elementary. This is Mr. McAllister's 3rd year teaching after teaching in Onslow and Pitt county schools. He received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education degree from East Carolina University.
He is a Zebulon, NC native and excited to be back in the area! In addition to teaching he has been coaching in the state for the last 5 years.
Mr. McAllister has a wife and a son on the way! In his free time he enjoys to spend time with friends and family, be in the outdoors, and cheer on the North Carolina Tar Heels!

Cheryl Dunston is a native of Nash County. She has been employed with FC Schools for 35 years. Working at BES is more than a job to her, it's her passion. She loves showing up each day to serve the children in the Bunn community. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family.
